New Hero Digital website underway…

If it wasn’t for our (lovely) clients we’d have time to make a start on our own site, as the holding page is starting to grate. That was yesterday – today we made a start and creative concepts are furiously being scribbled on backs of envelopes all over the studio as I type this (well – digital envelopes anyway). A whole new use of space is being planned for, with lots of interesting stuff  to be displayed. Planned launch date to be confirmed, so watch this space!

Hero Digital win Secure IT account

Pleased, nay delighted to announce we’ve been successful in winning the digital account for Secure IT, one of the countries leading energy-efficient, green data-centre design and installation firms. The digital strategy starts with a new website with sophisticated recommendation-engine to ease navigation, soon to be followed with search engine optimisation (SEO) management.  Watch this space for the launch details.

Desktop Widgets Delivered

You might recall we had a brief in for two desktop widgets from one of our clients, Agency Space. The widgets have been built and are now live. First was a Desperados Alarm Clock – for reminding users when it’s time for a Desperados beer. The second is a series of Frames for users to frame their own images. Die Hards goes live!

Hero Digital recently delivered the second phase of the already popular Desperados website – Die Hards (the name given to consumers who take part in brand-buidling activities). The site features a custom made video and image gallery and some pretty fancy flash animation (even if we do say so ourselves). This new addition to the main site (which went live in September ‘08) works as an interactive social networking platform and also includes competitions and a download page.

Hero Digital wins Advice UK account!

We are delighted to announce that this week Hero Digital won the Advice UK recruitment web site account. Advice UK is a support network charity for advice-providing organisations, providing its members a broad range of services such as management, training, insurance and recruitment.

Hero Digital will be designing and building the new web site, that will act as a platform for both recruiters and job-seekers active in the chartity advice sector. Watch this space for the live site in the coming months

Widgets brief just in….

We’ve just had a brief in to design and build two desktop widgets (or RIA’s – Rich Internet Applications if you’re a geek…) for an up-coming new-product launch. We’re truly excited as we’re confident that the day of the widget has arrived, not just for mega-brands, but for most consumer-facing businesses.

Last year, brands as diverse as Mini and The Sun launched fun widgets as part of their marketing campaigns – Mini with their inventive desktop cuckoo clock and The Sun who achieved 10,000 downloads in just 3 days of  it’s cheeky Page 3 widget - just 2 intersting highlights!  Have a read of Campaign’s insights on the matter;
